When barcode generation needs to run unattended — nightly ERP exports, a Python job that labels every new SKU, or validating that a carrier tracking number encodes correctly before it ships — a one-barcode-at-a-time UI doesn't scale. Feed a CSV or Excel export straight in, generate every label in one pass, and wire the same workflow into Odoo, a custom ERP, or a Python script.
- Bulk CSV/Excel pipelines built for scheduled or automated runs
- Integration patterns for Odoo inventory and custom Python/ERP jobs
- Carrier-format validation (FedEx, DTDC, Aramex tracking symbologies)
Tools
Carrier tracking barcodes: FedEx, DTDC, Aramex
Carrier tracking numbers are long (often 12–15 digits for FedEx Ground/Express) and need to encode reliably at dispatch-floor scale. All three major carrier formats covered here use Code 128, which handles that length without the bar-width blur that raster-based generators produce at small label sizes.
Workflow: manifest to scan-ready labels
- Export your manifest from your logistics software or ERP with a column for the tracking number.
- Select Code 128 in the workspace — the standard symbology for carrier tracking formats.
- Export a PDF or ZIP of images for warehouse thermal printers or dispatch sheets.
- Long tracking numbers: bars scale automatically to fit your label dimensions without the code blurring at small sizes.
- Route/hub titles: map a spreadsheet column to print the destination hub or route ID above the barcode for faster manual cross-docking.
- Master/child tracking: when a single freight order splits across multiple boxes, map a master tracking number plus child sub-labels (e.g. "Box 1 of 4") from one CSV.
- Client-side processing: shipping manifests carry sensitive routing data; files are parsed and rendered in your browser and never uploaded to a server.
