本支柱页统一零售标签流程,支持门店可用的 UPC/EAN 输出、价签管理与 SKU 可追溯。
Retail checkout systems are unforgiving: a barcode with the wrong check digit or the wrong symbology simply won't scan at the register. Generate correctly-checksummed UPC-A and EAN-13 codes in bulk from a product list, print them as shelf-ready label sheets, and keep every SKU consistent across your POS system, price tags and apparel hang-tags.
- Bulk UPC-A / EAN-13 generation with automatic check-digit calculation
- Print-ready label sheets sized for standard retail shelf-tag and hang-tag stock
- Consistent SKU-to-barcode mapping across POS, e-commerce and warehouse systems
Tools
SKU vs. UPC: which one do you actually print?
This is the most common point of confusion for sellers setting up internal labeling. Using the wrong format breaks scanning at checkout or in the warehouse.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
An internal code your own business creates — not purchased from anyone. Usually contains letters and hyphens (e.g. SHIRT-RED-L), so it must be encoded as Code 128, not UPC or EAN, which are numeric-only.
UPC (Universal Product Code)
A 12-digit number licensed from GS1, used for selling through retail chains and marketplaces that require a standard product identifier. Numeric only.
Workflow: from a Shopify/WooCommerce export to printed labels
- Export your inventory as a CSV from your store platform, with SKU and Title columns included.
- Upload and map columns in the workspace, selecting Code 128 as the symbology for alphanumeric SKUs.
- Set the physical label size (50x30mm is the common standard for warehouse and apparel tags) so the barcode scales without blurring.
- Export a PDF roll or ZIP sized for your thermal printer.
Why bother labeling internally at all
- Fewer mis-picks: a shelf of visually identical variants (same shirt, different size) is only distinguishable by scanning the SKU, not by eye.
- Faster receiving: scanning an applied SKU barcode on an inbound shipment updates inventory counts without manual data entry.
- 3PL readiness: outsourced fulfillment providers generally require every unit to already carry a scannable barcode before they'll accept it.
FAQ
Which barcode format should I use for internal SKUs?
Code 128. Most internal SKUs mix letters and numbers (e.g. TSHIRT-RED-XL), and UPC/EAN formats reject letters entirely.
What size should SKU labels be?
50x30mm (roughly 2x1.2in) is the common standard for warehouse and apparel tags — enough room for a scannable barcode plus a human-readable title above it.
