While an Aramex tracking string is purely numeric (usually 10 to 12 digits, like 31344368156), it must be encoded using the Code 128 symbology. This format offers superior data density and includes a robust check-digit mechanism that prevents the courier's laser from misreading a scratched label.
When designing your 4x6 inch waybill, do not stretch the barcode to the absolute edge of the sticker. Code 128 requires a blank white margin (the "Quiet Zone") on both the left and right sides. Without this blank space, the scanner cannot locate the starting coordinates of the code.
Courier labels are subjected to harsh warehouse environments.
