A standard DTDC AWB string is often alphanumeric (e.g., Z12345678). It must be encoded using the Code 128 symbology. This format offers superior data density and includes a robust parity check mechanism that prevents the courier's laser from misreading a scratched or faded label during transit.
When designing your 4x6 inch waybill, never stretch the barcode to the absolute edge of the sticker. Code 128 requires a blank white margin (the "Quiet Zone") on both the left and right sides. Without this essential whitespace, the handheld scanner cannot locate the starting coordinates of the code.
Indian logistics face extreme weather variations.
