Executive Summary

The Bulk ZIP Exporter

While PDF Rolls are the standard for printing, Graphic Designers and IT system administrators require raw, individual image files. Our system renders your Excel data as Lossless PNGs (preserving 300 DPI clarity and transparent backgrounds) and dynamically names every file according to its specific SKU before bundling them into a compressed ZIP archive.

Lossless PNGs, automatically named.

When creating retail barcodes, image compression is your enemy. JPG files often introduce "compression artifacts" (fuzzy gray pixels around black lines) which can cause laser scanners to fail. Our ZIP exporter natively renders lossless PNGs to guarantee crisp, high-contrast edges for 300 DPI professional printing.

Intelligent File Naming

When you export a batch, our engine names every single image file according to its specific SKU or sequence number. You will never have to guess which barcode belongs to which product.

Transparent Backgrounds

PNG files natively support alpha-channel transparency. Remove the background color in the workspace to drag the barcode seamlessly onto colored retail packaging in Adobe Illustrator.

How to Export a Barcode Image Archive

A quick guide to mapping your spreadsheet data into perfectly named image files.

  1. Format your Spreadsheet: Create a spreadsheet with at least two columns: One for the data you want encoded in the barcode, and one for the filename.
  2. Map the Columns: Upload your list into the BulkBarcode Workspace. Using our intelligent mapping tool, set Column A as your "Barcode Value" and Column B as your "File Name".
  3. Download ZIP: Click Generate. In the Export Settings, select the ZIP Archive option. Our client-side rendering engine will instantly compile and download a folder of individual PNGs named exactly as you specified.

Why download a ZIP of barcodes?

While our PDF Roll exporter is perfect for direct thermal printing, exporting individual images unlocks powerful workflows for designers, agencies, and IT administrators.

Retail Packaging Design

Graphic designers working in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign need raw image files to embed into product boxes, book covers, and hang tags. Exporting transparent PNGs ensures perfect blending with the packaging color.

Word Mail Merge & Avery

If you rely on standard Avery sticker sheets, downloading a ZIP allows you to use Microsoft Word's "Mail Merge" feature to flow hundreds of individual images directly onto your standard A4 templates.

Odoo ERP & Custom IT Systems

IT departments deploying asset tags into Odoo or proprietary booking systems often require individual image uploads. Exporting a ZIP guarantees every barcode is named properly (e.g., ASSET-4091.png) so your software can auto-match it to the correct profile via API or bulk import.

Download your image archive today.

Upload your spreadsheet and generate thousands of perfectly named barcode files in seconds.

Image Export FAQs

How are the barcode image files named inside the ZIP?
Our engine intelligently names every single image file according to its specific SKU or tracking number based on your Excel mapping. For example, if you map an Excel row with the SKU ITEM-001 to the "Filename" field, the resulting image inside the ZIP folder will be perfectly named ITEM-001.png.
Can I export barcodes with a transparent background?
Yes. When selecting your export settings, choose PNG. PNG files natively support alpha-channel transparency. If you remove the "Background Color" in the workspace configuration, you can drag the barcode seamlessly onto colored retail packaging in Adobe Illustrator without a white box surrounding it.
Are the exported images high resolution (300 DPI)?
Yes. Our generator renders the original graphics using scalable vector math before converting them to PNGs. If you specify a large dimension size in the configuration panel, they export at crisp, high resolutions suitable for professional print packaging and high-end laser printing.
